Eureka Lemon

Eureka is the lemon you find in most shops and many backyards. The fruit is juicy, sharp and full of flavour, with few seeds, and the tree has very few thorns, which makes picking easy.

Its biggest crop comes in winter and spring, but a healthy Eureka flowers and fruits on and off for much of the year, so there is often a lemon on the tree when you need one. Plant it in full sun with soil that drains well, water regularly and feed with a citrus fertiliser in spring and late summer. It grows to three to four metres and can be kept smaller with pruning.
