Meyer Lemon
The Meyer lemon is a cross between a lemon and a mandarin or orange, and it shows in the fruit: thin skinned, very juicy and sweeter and less acidic than a standard lemon. Cooks love it for desserts, dressings and drinks.
The tree is compact and nearly thornless, which makes it one of the best lemons for a pot or a small garden. It fruits mostly through winter, often with a few lemons at other times. Give it full sun and soil that drains well, water regularly and feed with a citrus fertiliser in spring and late summer.
