Lemonade

The lemonade looks like a lemon but tastes like a sweet, mild lemon drink. It has very little acid, so you can peel it and eat it fresh, or squeeze it straight into a glass of water. It is a hit with kids and anyone who finds lemons too sharp.

It is a compact, hardy tree that suits the garden or a large pot. Fruit ripens through winter and holds on the tree for some time. Give it full sun and soil that drains well, water regularly and feed with a citrus fertiliser in spring and late summer.
