Flicks Yellow Pummelo

Pummelos are the giants of the citrus family and one of the parents of the grapefruit. Flicks Yellow has a yellow rind over sweet, mild flesh, without the bitterness of a grapefruit. Peel away the thick skin and the firm segments come out whole, ready to eat fresh or toss through a salad.

Pummelos love warmth and suit coastal northern NSW. Plant in full sun in a sheltered spot with soil that drains well, water deeply in dry spells and feed with a citrus fertiliser in spring and late summer. Allow room, as pummelos grow larger than most citrus. Fruit ripens through the cooler months.
