Tahitian Lime

The Tahitian lime is the lime most Australians buy: large, juicy, seedless fruit with a clean, sharp flavour. It is the go to lime for drinks, dressings, curries and seafood.

It is one of the hardiest limes, handling cooler weather better than most, and it grows well in the garden or a large pot. The main crop comes in late summer and autumn, with fruit on and off at other times. Pick limes while they are still green for the sharpest flavour. Give it full sun, soil that drains well, regular water and a citrus fertiliser.
